A. P. Vasantha Kumar Bio

Vasanthakumar is founding member of Ascent. He has about 20 years of experience in private equity and capital markets. He has been primarily involved in sourcing, evaluating, monitoring and exits of investments across sectors. He has deep industry knowledge across a wide range of sectors including technology, consumer, education, light engineering and infrastructure. Vasanthakumar actively works with portfolio companies on corporate strategy, business plan reviews, senior recruitments, evaluation and due diligence for inorganic growth strategies and follow on fund raising. In addition, he also looked into the ESG matters for the Fund. Prior to joining UTI Ventures, Vasanthakumar was part of the investment operations team of UTI, wherein he was involved in primary market equity and debt investments across sectors including technology and manufacturing. Vasanthakumar is a Mechanical Engineer from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and an MBA from Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli.
